SYLVA, N.C. (WLOS) – The N.C. 107 expansion project in Sylva is moving forward and some area businesses are having to move out. Five buildings around the N.C. 107/U.S. 23 intersection must be removed. Eight businesses will have to relocate. Impacted property owners have been contacted and the right-of-way acquisition process is underway, officials said. NCDOT is helping with cost mitigation.
