HAYWOOD COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) – Help is still available for Haywood County non profits impacted by Tropical Storm Fred. About $500,000 still remains in grant funding for nonprofit organizations in the mountains that are helping with flood relief or were impacted by flooding from Fred. The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina (CFWNC) opened up the application process last month and They’ll keep the applications open until the money runs out.
