CHEROKEE, N.C. (WLOS) – Mental health is being prioritized by state and local leaders. The North Carolina Department of Health, the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and state legislators, are planning to host a town hall in Cherokee Thursday evening [June 22], at 6 p.m., at Cherokee Central School to discuss improving mental health across the state.
