Three people arrested on drug trafficking charges in Macon County accept plea deals

FRANKLIN, N.C. (WLOS) – Three people who were arrested separately on drug trafficking charges in Macon County have accepted plea deals in the case. The suspects appeared in Macon County Superior Court this week [APRIL 18]. All three, Adam Sackman, 35, Jeremiah Smith, 41, Reyna Angelicka Garcilita, 26, all from Franklin, pleaded guilty to felony trafficking opium or heroin. Sackman was sentenced to serve up to a maximum of 23.5 years in state prison. Smith recieved up to a maximum of 7.75 years in state prison. And the judge ordered Garcilita to serve up to a maximum of 10 years in state prison.
