RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – As Santa checks his list twice to see who’s been naughty or nice, shoppers are being warned to check their receipts, after a recently released list from the N.C. Department of Consumer Services’ shows people were charged twice at 70 stores across 38 counties in North Carolina. A spokesperson blamed price-scanner errors for the double billing, at Walmart stores, Dollar General, Target, Staples, and Advance Auto, according to the department’s announcement on Friday.
