WAYNESVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) – Waynesville authorities say half a dozen people have been taken into custody after a multi-month investigation involving the sales of narcotics in the area. The Waynesville Police Department says the three-month-long undercover operation wrapped up in October. Six people were taken into custody and are facing multiple charges. Authorities say proactive police work and tips submitted by citizens aided in the identification and arrest of the suspects.
