It was a battle of strength this weekend as area police and firefighters joined forces to take on a 30-ton fire truck Saturday [July 9] all for a good cause. The Waynesville Police Department, Waynesville Fire Department and Haywood County Sheriff’s Office took part in the event where first responders pulled together to pull the 30-ton fire truck in the Waynesville Walmart’s parking lot, as part of a fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network. Money raised for the event will go to the Children’s Miracle Network.
