New details released in 2021 death of woman in Buncombe County

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) – New details have been released in the 2021 death of a woman found face down “with her pants rolled down to her knees” in Buncombe County. According to autopsy results from the NC Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the cause of death for Kimberly Jarvis, 49, was strangulation and blunt trauma to the head. Her death has been ruled a homicide. The Buncombe County Medical Examiner says Jarvis’ body was found inside of a former Denny’s restaurant on Patton Avenue last October.
