One Western North Carolina town targeting noise violators

WAYNESVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) – One Western North Carolina town will be seeing stronger enforcement of their noise ordinance after several complaints. The Waynesville Police Department announced on Wednesday that after receiving “numerous concerns from residents, business owners and visitors to the downtown area” about noise, officers will be beefing up their patrol targeting noise violations within the downtown district, such as vehicles, motorcycles and music, the department explained in a Facebook post.
