Macon County man dies in house fire

MACON COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Macon County Fire Marshal’s Office said a man has died after a fire burned his home early Monday morning. According to the fire marshal’s office, crews responded to a residence in the Cartoogechaye “Car-tooga-jay,” community and found the home fully engulfed in flames. An investigation is currently underway into the cause and origin of the fire.
