JACKSON COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) – A Jackson County man is behind bars after a domestic situation at a gas station. The Qualla Fire Department and first responders, Harris EMS, Cherokee Tribal EMS, and Police Department deputies all assisted during the incident at Cherokee Quality Plus gas station in Whittier, North Carolina on Friday [July 26]. Deputies said that Nicholas Dewayne Poston is facing nearly a dozen charges, including assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. He is currently in custody with no bond.
