SWAIN COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) – Human remains found near Bryson City last weekend have been identified as that of a Florida man who owns property in the area. In an update Tuesday [July 11] from the Swain County Sheriff’s Office, authorities said the body of Frank Purcell was located near Morrow Cemetery Road on Saturday, July 8. Purcell owned a trailer park along Morrow Cemetery Road, where his body was found, according to the update. The cause of death is pending an autopsy, and police said the investigation remains ongoing.
