Asheville firefighters are lending a helping hand way on the other side of the country

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Asheville firefighters are lending a helping hand way on the other side of the country experiencing biblical proportin flooding. Crews are still on the ground in Vermont where the Asheville Fire Department tweeted a photo of firefighters making their way through floodwaters and serving as a swift water rescue team. Water levels are starting to recede around a dam near Vermont’s flooded capital city of Montpelier, giving hope to residents they’ll soon get some relief.
