An armed robbery in Canton in broad daylight of Charlotte-based cash transit van is being investigated. The suspects approached the driver just after 3 p.m. Thursday outside an Exxon gas station in Canton, and stole about $30,000, according to the Police Chief. The gunmen also took the driver’s weapon and keys, stranding him there for most of the day. Cameras outside the building are reportedly down, according to an employee. Police said they are following all leads and the case remains active.
