Shooting disrupts City of Asheville’s Juneteenth Festival

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) – A shooting marred the City of Asheville’s Juneteenth Festival this weekend. The Martin Luther King Association of Asheville and Buncombe County planners of this year’s Juneteenth Celebration shared that they had to cancel its second day of the event on Sunny, due to a shooting that happened Saturday evening as the event was wrapping up at Pack Square Park. The Martin Luther King Association of Asheville and Buncombe County planners said they are working with police as the investigation into the incident continues.
