A Sylva woman convicted in connection to overdoses has been sentenced. A judge ordered, Megan Emily Tate, 29, to 20 years in prison last week, stemming from a Feb. 5, 2021 incident in which Jackson County deputies found two unconscious people in a parked car in a Sylva parking lot, and it was determined they OD’d after drugs were found in the vehicle that were linked to Tate, who was also charged in the overdoses of two inmates in the Jackson County Detention Center.
