ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) – Jury selection has started in the assault trial of a former Buncombe County deputy.
Tyler McDonald faces charges for beating a man who was wrongly detained in connection to a car theft. He was fired over what the sheriff’s office called “inappropriate personal conduct” during a traffic stop in 2020, a news release states.
