A sentencing for a South Carolina man accused of child sexual assault via social media came with a warning from the judge. “This serves as a cautionary tale for parents,” the judge said as he ordered Jonathan Andrew Wyles, 34, to serve up to a maximum of 29 years in prison for raping an underage girl he met online multiple times in 2021 in both Franklin and Cherokee. He urged parents to be vigilant to make sure their kids don’t fall victim to online child predators like Wlyles.
