The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office has been approved for a nearly $500,000 grant to create a drug treatment program for inmates. Commissioners approved a Memorandum of Agreement between the Sheriff’s Office and Department of Public Safety for the funds at this months regular meeting [May 16]. The JCSO has not said when the program will be up and running.
