Swain County — A TN man is now facing several drug charges following a routine traffic stop in Swain County last week [April 20]. According to an update from the Sheriff’s Office Monday [April 24], when Swain County deputies stopped a vehicle on US Highway 19/74 near Highway 28 North for speeding, more than 19 pounds of marijuana, 1.5 oz of mushrooms, and multiple illicit prescription pills were confiscated. Floyd Eugene Humphrey of Russellville, TN, is being held in a Swain County jail on a half dozen charges.
