ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) – Haywood Community College Foundation has announced a new scholarship that’s available for workers losing their jobs from the closing of Canton’s Pactiv Evergreen plant. The college is offering a $1,000 scholarship, called the Haywood Strong Scholarship, for mill employees looking to get training for new jobs or for completion of a degree or diploma. Registration is now open at HCC.
