(TNS) – The Waynesville Police Department says transparency is the leading force behind a new community oriented mobile app. Waynesville Assistant Police Chief Brandon Gilmore said the app released at the end of last year, offers numerous useful features such as a sex offender and inmate search. The app also includes a citizens tip line and notifications, making it a “one-stop-shop” for alerting the community, he said. The app is available to download free.
