MONROE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Three people have been arrested in connection to the murder of a missing woman whose body was found in Jackson County. Alison Thomas, of Monroe, a couple hours west of Brevard, was last seen the day before Valentines Day [Feb. 13], and had been reported missing on Feb. 17. Her remains were discovered in the Nantahayla National Forest in the jurisdiction of Jackson County. 51-year-old Michael Kasminoff, Brandon Kisiah, 27, and Amanda Griffin, 42, are in custody, with Kasminoff facing kidnapping and murder charges in the case, and the other two are being held on Conspiracy to Commit Murder. Their bonds have not been set. Deputies say more charges could be pending and the investigation is continuing.
