ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) – The name of the person killed in a fatal five-vehicle crash on Hendersonville Road has been made public. Asheville police have identified the person killed in the Thursday night collision near the Blue Ridge parkway, as Sheila Mills Hazel, 59. The wreck shutdown Hendersonville near the Blue Ridge Overpass for several hours while officers investigated the crash. Authorities said a preliminary investigation indicated a driver suffered a medical emergency on Hendersonville Road and crossed into oncoming traffic, resulting in a collision of four other vehicles. The investigation is ongoing.
