CANTON, N.C. (WLOS) – More than a dozen business’ joined forces Thursday to offer hope to the Canton community during a job fair. Employers from Western North Carolina set up in the small mountain town where the mill closure left hundreds jobless.

Don’t worry if you missed yesterday’s hiring event. Another job fair is scheduled to take place next Thursday [March 23] in Canton, at the WNC Ag Center. Over 100 employers from Western North Carolina are expected to participate, including Harrah’s Cherokee, GE Aerospace, NC Dot and State Highway Patrol, as well as USPS. The fair is taking place at Pinnacle Church, on Fiberville Street.
