ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) – A proposed residential development where the old Fuddruckers restaurant on Charlotte Street sits is one step closer to breaking ground. Asheville leaders approved rezoning for the controversial development of a three- to five-story building with 186 residential units and 4,50 square feet of commercial/retail space. The hotly contested development, in the works for years, has received backlash from some community members, who expressed concerns about increased traffic.
