North Carolinans who rely on food assistance will soon have less money to feed their families

Thousands of families in North Carolina who rely on food assistance will soon have less money to feed their families. According to the Department of Social Services, SNAP pandemic benefits will end February 16 [2023] and anyone who gets help from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as SNAP, will start getting their pre-pandemic allotment in March. Local food banks are on standby to help, officials noted.
