Haywood Count — The Haywood County Board of Commissioners once again discussed accepting grant money during a meeting on Monday. Last month it was put on hold because of worries from certain community members. this week, the Board unanimously voted to approve the grant money. The state gave Haywood County a grant of about $75,000 with the intention of making the COVID vaccine more widely available. The grant from Haywood County will aid in the effort to get as many people vaccinated as possible to help reduce the spread of the deadly virus.
