Business owners in the Western North Carolina are getting a helping hand. The ‘Got Your Back Academy,’ as part of the CREATE BRIDGES-WNC initiative is a free online course to help retail, hospitality, and tourism sectors, as they face staffing shortages, and offers tools employers can use in their business to successfully navigate workplace challenges. The Got Your Back Academy was hosted as an in-person event in Sylva in April. Now online, it is the first of many workforce and business development strategies being launched through the CREATE BRIDGES initiative.
