TRANSYLVANIA COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) – Local law enforcement officials say two women accused of breaking and entering, and ‘trying to steal Christmas’ are in custody. On Dec. 7, the Transylvania County Sherriff’s Office shared a video showing what appeared to be a woman attempting to steal an inflatable snowman off of someone’s porch. On Dec. 17, the sheriff’s office posted an update on social media, reporting two women had been arrested in the incident. Both women were taken into custody without incident and were being held at the Transylvania County Detention Facility, the sheriff’s office wrote in a social media post.
