(Haywood County, NC) — The U.S. Forest Service is continuing their investigation into the cause of the Hurricane Ridge fire. Hundreds of acres were still burning in Haywood County by the weekend, but fire investigators said there were no expected threats for the fire to spread past the containment area. It initially began sparked just before Thanksgiving.
