A Haywood County Schools bus route will temporarily halt service. Starting next week a short segment of a bus route serving seven Jonathan Valley Elementary students will be suspended, but officials said there will be a community bus stop where those seven students will be picked up, so parents need only get their kids part of the way to school. Construction on I-40 was cited as the reason for the suspension of the route which will run from Monday, Dec. 19, through Monday, Jan. 2. Only one of those two weeks coincides with school being in session.
