A death investigation involving a Jackson County child who died in Lenoir County over the Thanksgving holiday [Nov. 26] remains ongoing. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office along with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office say they have made an arrest in connection to the case in which the 6-year-old who resides in the Whittier area tested positive for controlled substances while visiting Lenoir County with his family during Thanksgiving. Glenn Hershel Strickland remains jailed on murder charges, and three counts of felony child abuse. Bond has been set $2 million.
