Brevard Elementary students get bikes for Christmas

BREVARD, N.C. (WLOS) – As part of a ‘paying it forward’ initiative, volunteers from the Brevard area, with employees from Oskar Blues Brewery and nonprofit Can’d Aid came together Sunday [Dec. 11] to build 100 bikes for every first grader at Brevard Elementary. Can’d Aid is a nonprofit that works nationally to provide healthy active outlets to underserved youth, and the organization has partnered with Oskar Blues for close to 10 years now as a way to give back to the community. The brewery sponsored the build for the 100 bikes that were donated on Monday [Dec. 12], to the Brevard Elementary School just in time for Christmas.
