Allegiant Airlines forced to divert flight from Vegas to Asheville

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) – Winter weather related issues forced Allegiant Airlines to divert a flight from Las Vegas to Asheville, leaving passengers over 500 miles away from their destination. Allegiant flight 263 was scheduled to fly from Las Vegas to Asheville Regional Airport on Thursday night [Dec. 8], but had to make a last minute emergency landing at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. While at CVG, passengers were given a cot to sleep on, but frustrations had many passengers vowing to never fly the budget airline ever again. The flight was rescheduled for Friday morning and finally landed at AVL around noon. As a gesture of goodwill, the airline provided passengers with $250.
