JACKSON COUNTY, N.C. – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man in connection to a 2020 deadly shooting. Grant Alexander Higgs, 42, of Cashiers, is being charged in the July 1, 2020 shooting death of Brittney Nicole Leftridge, 31 who was found dead at a Racquet Club Drive home near Cashiers where the two had lived together. Higgs was arrested while living in Nashville, Tennessee. He remains jailed on charges of first-degree murder.
