CANDLER, N.C. (WLOS) – Officials say they’re still looking for the cause of a weekend fire at a Candler event venue. Fire crews from nearly a dozen departments responded to the blaze, at the facility called, The Farm, and found the home located on a remote part of the property engulfed in flames. Buncombe County Fire Marshal Kevin Tipton said on Monday that one firefighter was taken to the hospital, treated and released. A spokesperson said the house that caught fire belongs to the owners and was built in 1937 and was not near the wedding venue.
The investigation is ongoing.
