Drug conviction against Brevard woman resulted in more than decade long prison sentence

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) – A drug conviction against a Brevard woman has resulted in a more than decade long prison sentence. Victoria Kerrigan Irby, 26, was sentenced to 15 years behind bars for distributing the drugs that led to the overdoses of multiple people and the death of at least one. According to filed court documents and last weeks sentencing hearing, between January 2018 and June 2019, Irby sold pure or uncut fentanyl in and around Buncombe County knowing that it was causing her customers to overdose.
