Race in college admissions is back in front of the Supreme Court, with affirmative action in college admissions again on trial at the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court is set to hear the affirmative action case against UNC Chapel Hill on Monday. With the current composition of the court it could bring major changes to how affirmative action is handled in college admissions and if that happens then other things will be eventually impacted. Western Carolina university is a part of UNC so if it impacts the chapel hill campus it will likely impact WCU as well. The advocacy group suing the university argues its consideration of race in admissions disadvantages white and Asian American applicants.
