Wet weather didn’t stop return of Canton’s annual Labor Day parade

CANTON, N.C. (WLOS) – Wet weather didn’t stop many Canton residents from enjoying the return of the towns annual Labor Day parade. For the first time since 2019, the town held its Labor Day parade along Park and Main streets on Monday morning in observance of the worker holiday. The yearly tradition was canceled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic and again in 2021 after the area was devastated by flooding. Organizers did say the rain hurt the parade’s spectator turnout, but those who were in attendance didn’t let cloudy skies dampen their excitement.
