Waynesville lawmakers vote to take action on resident concerns over speeding drivers on Wast Street. According to the Mountaineer the town board is looking at installing so-called “speed tables” on the roadway which will slow down drivers but not impair first responder vehicles as a speed bump would. East Street is used as a cut-through to avoid downtown and residents say the extra traffic coupled with the road’s layout and speeders makes it very hazardous.
