(WASHINGTON D.C. – Columbus County Sheriff Jody Greene is in hot water after he allegedly made racially charged comments. The nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization called for the resignation of the North Carolina sheriff Thursday for the 2019 conversation in which he said he was tired of these “black bas–rds.” The Columbus County Attorney General requested the North Carolina Bureau of Investigation (SBI) begin investigating the issue. In a statement posted to Facebook, Greene admitted to using offensive language but denied any “racial intent.”
