HAYWOOD COUNTY, N.C (WLOS) – Many students and teachers across the mountains headed back to class this week [Monday]. At North Canton Elementary in Haywood County, it was a successful start to the school year, which kicked off Monday with kids excited to see their classmates and teachers post pandemic.
First through fifth graders had a half day of school Monday. Meanwhile, Kindergarteners and pre-schoolers at North Canton will slowly make the transition back to class over the next week.
