Human remians found in Great Smoky Mountain identified as missing Tennessee man

Human remians found in Great Smoky Mountains National Park have been postitively identified as that of a missing Tennessee man. Rangers found the deceased body of Bryce Evans in a remote section of the park near Balsam Mountain, North Carolina. The 23 year old Knoxville, TN resident was reported missing by his family early last week. Park Rangers located his vehicle parked at the Balsam Mountain Trailhead near Pin Oak Gap last Thursday [August 4]. On Friday [August 5], emergency responders from the National Park Service and Cherokee Police, Fire, and Emergency conducted a search of the area and within a few hours, the victim was spotted about a mile and a half from where his car was parked. The investigation is continuing.
