WLOS – MACON COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) – Human remains found in Macon County back in May have been linked to a homicide investigation. The Macon County Sheriff’s Office confirms that through DNA, the body, which was found in an encampment off Mulberry Road in a burn pit earlier this year, has been identified as that of Tina Walkingstick Frizsell who had been reported missing by family. Frizsell was shot and killed elsewhere in Macon County before being taken to that area, according to the Macon County Sheriff’s Office press release. Four people are facing charges in connection to Frizsell’s murder.
