Biden expands benefits for veterans exposed to toxic chemicals

Virginia veterans now have access to benefits covering potential illnesses or disabilities that may develop as a result of exposure to toxic chemicals, radiation and burn pits. Earlier this month President Joe Biden signed into law the Toxics, PACT, Act of 2022, which expands the list of service-related illnesses covered by the VA, and disability benefits. Certain veterans’ survivors may also be eligible for benefits, according to the VA website. To learn more about PACT or file a claim, visit: va.gov.
