SYLVA, N.C. (WLOS) – The owners of a small business in Sylva say they’re under fire in a case of mistaken identity. Southern and Sunkissed Boutique said a racially charged Facebook Live surfaced from what appears to be the page of a similarly named shop called, ‘Sweet Savannah Boutique,’ but social media users quickly bombarded their page, Southern and Sunkissed Boutique, ultimately bringing down the business’s ratings. Since the controversy, community members in Sylva have come to the defense of the boutique and its owners.

A video has been circulating online of the same employee from the other store apologizing for her racially charged comments.
