Today marks one week since in-person early voting got underway for the District 2 seat on the Jackson County Board of Education. Lisa Buchanan and incumbent Abigail Clayton will be the only names on the ballot. All 13 polling sites in the county will be open on July 26. The county Board of Elections’ Skyland Drive office will be the only early voting site. The last day to vote early is July 22.
Oh, and don’t forget, the price of a stamps increased from 58 cents to 60 cents so absentee-by-mail voters should place 60 cents in postage or one Forever stamp on their ballot-return envelope before mailing it back to their county board of elections office.
