A ‘make-no-mistake-about-it warning’ is what Haywood’s DA said the arrests of multiple drug dealers is sending to those who try and sell narcotics in the community. State assistant district attorneys in Haywood County Superior Court successfully prosecuted five residents recently for trafficking illegal drugs. The five defendants were from Canton and Waynesville and collectively will spend a total minimum of nearly 30 years in prison. All five were each sentenced to 7 years and nine months behind bars.
