Waynesville Police responded to a wooded area beside the Best Buy on Plaza Place to investigate a white male who had been found deceased. When officers arrived, they located the victim in a tent in a wooded area. Investigators didn’t find signs of injury…but did find evidence of drug use. Evidence collected at the scene has been field tested and tested positive for fentanyl. The case continues by both state and local officials.
